David is a 25 year veteran of youth ministry. He has served in churches in the southeast and with the National Network of Youth Ministries as the Southeast U.S. coordinator. Currently, he is the Next Gen Ministries pastor at Irving Bible Church in the Dallas area.He's passionate about developing leadership for ministry: professional, volunteer, and yes, even students. In addition to student ministry he has recently turned his attention to parenting and family issues and how church ministries effectively partner with and shepherd families.
David's blog is called "In Repair" because of his own personal faith journey and understanding that he needs the gospel every day. His desire is to bring ongoing redemption to his own life, the lives of students and their families. Knowing we "never arrive" David, is always seeking to grow personally and professionally.
In addition to his ministry at IBC, David has the privilege of speaking at student retreats / camps, parenting conferences and youth worker events. He also serves churches around the county as a consultant / ministry coach.
David has been married to Julie for 23 years and they have four children, two in college and two still at home.
